Herman Upmann was a German banker who fell in love with Cuban cigars and moved to Havana in 1844 to establish himself as both a banker and a cigar manufacturer. His bank closed in the early 1920s, but his cigars continue on as a lovely, light to medium-bodied Habanos.
H. Upmann's blend is entirely composed of tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone for filler and binder.
On the brand's branded boxes, gold medals from eleven international exhibitions from the nineteenth century may be found.
Absolutely Sublime!
Dropped by Churchills tobacconist for a bit of relaxation as I had a few hours without the kids. Had a bit of a browse I decided to treat myself to this Magnum 54 and enjoy it in the in-house smoking lounge. I can’t praise the cigar enough. Beautiful smooth and creamy flavour, low spice notes and had a burn time of 1 hour 15 minutes. Paired very well with coffee. This is my number one favourite cigar to date and have ordered more to have my humidor. A beautiful well balanced cigar.
