Punch is one of the original Habano brands. Don Manuel Lopez of Juan Valle & Co established it in the mid-nineteenth century with an eye on the thriving British market, where a humorous journal of the same name was popular. 

Every box still features a contented Mr Punch, the clown who typified the magazine, with a cigar in hand, surrounded by 19th Century imagery of cigar manufacture that have remained practically identical over a century and a half later. 

Punch became affiliated with Hoyo de Monterrey in 1931, and the two brands have been manufactured in the same factory ever since. The factory is now known as La Corona. 

Punch's characteristic medium flavour is constructed with a blend of Vuelta Abajo filler and binder tobaccos and is offered in a number of sizes that are all long filler and completely hand manufactured.
