A well-liked Cuban cigar, the Montecristo Double Edmundo has a rich, medium-to-full-bodied taste profile with hints of leather, coffee, spice, and wood.
First Third: The first third begins with mellow earthy, leathery, and cedary woody notes. Along with a little sweetness and an undercurrent of dusty cocoa or milk chocolate that intensifies over time, there are frequently undertones of white pepper, salt, and cream. Generally speaking, the strength and body are light to medium.
Second, Third: In the second third, the profile gets deeper and enters solid medium area in terms of body and strength. Richer nuances, such as roasted coffee beans, darker chocolate, and a graham cracker or biscuit taste, emerge yet the primary flavours stay the same. As the aromas blend together, there are further hints of black tea, more noticeable leather, and an oily nutty character.
Last Third: The flavours come together to provide a rich, fulfilling finish in the last third. A deeper, dryer earthiness, rich tobacco, more noticeable pepper, and lingering notes of chocolate and vanilla are usually the prevailing characteristics, though some people find that if the flavours are rushed, they can get jumbled or slightly bitter. If savoured slowly, the intricacy develops into a full-bodied experience that keeps the smoke cool.
