Trident Military Cigars' "The Bren" is a premium cigar handcrafted in Nicaragua and hand-rolled to salute the British Army military members. The brand itself is owned by veterans and donates to a charity operated by veterans. This particular line pays homage to the strength, cooperation, and valour of British and Commonwealth forces and is named after the famous Enfield-made Bren light machine gun from World War Two.
First Third: Wood & Spice Grounding
For a total newbie smoker's first stick, The Bren's initial light-up delivers a crisp, punchy start that is not advised. After settling in, the first third creates a solid baseline: Leather, oak, cedar, and dry wood smoke are the main flavours.
Subtle Accents: The palate starts to develop a delicate, nutty undercurrent.

Second Third: Sweetness and Creaminess of the Palate Coating
After the midway point, the heat subsides, and the more intense aspects of the first light-up totally disappear:
The Transition Transition Transition Transition. The Transition.
Dominant Notes: The profile shifts to an overwhelming nuttiness and a much smoother, dominant vanilla.
Texture: A persistent, subtle sweetness coats the mouth as the smoke gets noticeably creamier.
Final Third: Savoury and Rich Finish
The oils concentrate to provide a richer, more complex finish as the Robusta shortens:
Dominant Notes: The vanilla yields to a deeper blend of dark earth, espresso, and charred wood.
Subtle Accents: The profile is enhanced by rich, savoury undertones that are reminiscent of umami and molasses.
The Finish: The black pepper spice gives the smoke a warm, lasting, and pleasant kick as it gradually builds back up until the nub.
