Metallica frontman James Hetfield, Master Distiller Rob Dietrich, and Jonathan Drew of Drew Estate collaborated to create the Blackened M81 by Drew Estate, a robust, full-bodied cigar with a "Maduro to the Core" mix.

 "M81" Name: Honours 1981, the year Metallica was founded.

First Third: Immediately settles into a core of rich earth, dark roasted coffee, and a hint of dark chocolate after opening with a powerful burst of black pepper and spice. There are also hints of sweetness and cedar.

Second Third: As the profile takes on a creamy texture, the pepper becomes milder. Espresso notes grow more noticeable, mingling with rich cocoa, leather, and oak. The sweetness intensifies into molasses or caramel undertones.

Last Third: Black pepper, dark, bitter coffee/espresso, and a deep minerality/earthiness are the final elements of strength and taste. For a powerful, daring finish, the wood and leather notes take centre stage.
