The world's best Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, an amazing San Andrés binder, and fillers from Estelí in Nicaragua and the Jamastran Valley in Honduras are used to slowly age the cigar, which results in a rich, spicy, and incredibly well-rounded cocoa flavour.
The Tabernacle box explains the origin of the cigar's name and has been shown to surpass the highest standards of quality. Haile Selassie, the 225th King of Abussinia, which is now Ethiopia, is depicted in the artwork. He was born Ras Tafari, and his ancestry goes all the way back to the Queen of Sheba and King Solomon. Ethiopia claims ownership of the Tabernacle, which housed the Ark of the Covenant, as a result of this direct connection. Naturally, the Tabernacle is the humidor used by every cigar smoker.
Girolamo Benzoni's History of the New World, which chronicles his journeys to Nicaragua from 1541 to 1556, was published in 1565 and mentions that tobacco was frequently smoked by Ethiopians and local Nicaraguans. The Nicaraguan cigar industry takes its distinctively ancient yet completely modern approach to that unadulterated and sacred plant from this rich indigenous tradition of tobacco farming, tobacco consumption, and tobacco sharing with kindred spirits.
Using the best example The Tabernacle Broadleaf Maduro, one of the most sought-after wrapper leaves in the world, embodies every quality one might want in a serious, high-end cigar.
