A modern, well-liked Cuban cigar, the H. Upmann Magnum 50 is renowned for offering a smooth, light-to-medium-bodied smoking experience in a current heavy-gauge size. After a successful Limited Edition debut in 2005, it was become a regular production cigar in 2008.

The mix that makes up the H. Upmann brand is made up only of filler and binder tobaccos that are farmed in the Vuelta Abajo zone and are all rolled by hand (tripa larga, totalmente a mano).

First Third: Begins with gentle, velvety almond and cedar overtones. There can be a subtle undertone of black pepper, but it soon fades into a creamy flavour.

Second Third: Coffee, milk, and honey notes are added as the profile gets fuller. The mid-section may also reveal a more noticeable earthy core and leather overtones.

Final Third: A lingering earthiness and dry roasted coffee characterise the conclusion. A complex finish that some reviewers have referred to as a "holiday fruitcake effect" is created when a "tart, berry-like quality meets a brown sugar sweetness."
