Known for its eye-catching triple-wrapper "barber pole" shape and medium-bodied, complex flavour profile, the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock 2025 is a limited-edition cigar that is introduced every year for St. Patrick's Day.
Because of its triple wrapper, the Alec Bradley Black Market Filthy Hooligan Shamrock 2025 has a dynamic smoke with a changing flavour profile as the multiple wrappers and fillers burn at different rates.
First Third
Unlike typical cigars, the Candela wrapper's bright and fresh aromas dominate the first third.
Core Notes: A creamy mouthfeel and pronounced notes of freshly cut grass and hay are to be expected.
Background Nuances: There are faint hints of cereal grains, white pepper, and a hint of acidic or citrus sweetness. The retrohale frequently has a little peppery flavour.
The second third
The flavour profile intensifies and grows more complex as the burn worsens and the other wrappers become more engaged.
Core Notes: Richer notes of coffee or mocha and a growing earthiness emerge as the green notes gradually fade.
Developing Flavours: There are hints of chestnut, salted pretzel, and cedar or wood, and the spice notes progressively intensify. A hint of leather starts to show through as the overall profile gets creamier and toastier.
The Last Third
The latter third is the strongest; it concentrates the richer, deeper tastes and ends more forcefully.
Core aromas: The Maduro wrapper's influence is most noticeable when the earthiness, wood, and espresso aromas emerge.
Remaining Impressions: The finish is dominated by mineral flavours and a stronger black pepper spiciness. Smoking the cigar slowly keeps the draw smooth and prevents harshness, but the flavours get stronger as you get closer to the nub.
