The dark, imaginative hours of Sir Winston Churchill's night are reflected in the robust, full-bodied Davidoff Winston Churchill The Late Hour Robusto. It is famous for being the first mix to use tobacco that was aged for six months in casks of Scotch single malt whisky, giving the smoke a distinct depth and a delicate sweetness that is led by the spirit.
The experience is characterized by robust, sophisticated flavours with a lingering, elegant finish.
The first third begins with strong earthy, black pepper, and oak wood elements. To complete the beginning, faint citrus notes and the first traces of the Scotch whisky undertone appear.
Second Third: Warmer, deeper shades of leather, spice, and black coffee emerge in the profile. Hay and cocoa notes emerge, backed by a creamy mouthfeel that balances the strength.
Final Third: Dark chocolate, malt, and aged oak are the main notes of this powerful and well-balanced finish. The "mysterious sweetness" that the cask-aged tobacco provides can be counterbalanced by a small return of salinity.
