The newest member of the Open Series, the Montecristo Open SLAM, is a contemporary, medium-strength Cuban cigar that was introduced in 2025. It is well-known for its distinct "Idílicos" vitola, which is a size that no other Cuban cigar has, and its easy-to-suck flavour profile that is meant to be enjoyed outside.

The flavour progression is smooth and steady, providing a well-balanced change of notes from the first lighting to the end.

The first third The cigar begins with a smooth nuttiness (almond) with a hint of cedar. A soft, inviting beginning is provided by hints of flowery spice, light leather, and hay.

Second Third: Roasted nut (walnut, almond) and faintly creamy notes accompany the tastes as they intensify into a more noticeable woodiness. The smooth profile incorporates and balances occasional notes of espresso or chocolate bitterness.

Final Third: The creamy smoke lingers as the profile gently intensifies, emphasising earthiness and subtle spices. There is no bitterness or harshness, and the finish is pleasing and clean.
