Strength and smoothness coexist in the complex, full-bodied Plasencia Alma Fuerte Robusto I, which offers a changing profile across three separate thirds:

First Third: A strong start with a distinctive black pepper spice (also known as "Pepin blast") that soon gives way to a rich core of deeply roasted coffee beans and a noticeable earthiness. Beneath the spiciness, there are early sweetness overtones of caramel or molasses.

Second Third: As the spiciness fades, the profile becomes somewhat milder. Rich notes of old leather, charred oak, and dark chocolate/cocoa are added as the complexity changes. Here, a characteristic roasted nuttiness (almond or walnut) frequently appears, preserving the creamy mouthfeel.

The strength returns to its maximum in the final third. With the return of the black pepper, the profile becomes more intense, with a lingering, potent finish of wood and dark fruit, as well as robust flavours of espresso grounds and minerals/earth.
