Romeo y Julieta No. 2 is a traditional Cuban Petit Corona that is well-known throughout the world for its medium-bodied, well-balanced smoke that regularly produces flavours of coffee, cedar, and leather.
The traditional Cuban, medium-bodied taste profile of Romeo y Julieta No. 2 is consistently smooth and well-balanced. Packing the cigar in a tube (tubos) lined with cedar is often beneficial and can affect the early notes.
First Third: Often accentuated by its packaging, this smooth opening is characterised by light cedar and wood. The first flavours of many young Cuban cigars include a mild herbal/grassy tang, toasted nuts (almond/marzipan), and a nice creamy vanilla sweetness.
Second Third: The body develops to a solid medium by a small amount. With a core of roasted coffee beans, supple leather, and rich earthiness, the profile deepens. During this balanced middle stage, hints of dark chocolate/cocoa and a subtle, ripe fruitiness frequently appear.
Last Third: The medium level of intensity is maintained. Deeper espresso notes, a return of the oak/wood flavour, and a subtle, pleasing spice (white or black pepper) that stays on the palate for a clean finish define the finish.
