From the bottle's opening to the glass, the nose is maritime, with notes of gentle fruity smoke, hard candies, wine gums, salt, charred wood, autumnal grasses, and spices.
mouth: The entire dram experience of this classic Islay is unlocked without the addition of water, thanks to the rich, aromatic smoke from the scent and some springtime fruit that lingers on the mouth.
In the middle and back palate, there are rich peat and smoke notes that follow golden pears with honey and vanilla. Citrus, sea salt, and beach rock give this timeless classic its last push.
