First Third: Light cedar, sweet vanilla, and roasted almonds dominate this smooth, creamy beginning. The retrohale has a slight, tart citrus zest ("Cuban twang") and a faint white pepper spiciness.

The body develops into a solid medium in the second third. Earthiness, buttery leather, and strong aromas of rich coffee beans/café au lait deepen the character. The background note of creaminess doesn't change.

In the final third, the strength reaches the medium-to-full range. Stronger oak notes, a reappearance of the black pepper spice, deep, lingering espresso notes, and a rich mineral character define the finish, which ends with a pleasing, full-flavored finish.
