Jonathan Drew and Marvin Samel are not your typical cigar producers; their journey does not begin in Cuba or with fathers in the cigar industry. Drew Estate began with a dream and has grown into one of the world's leading cigar manufacturers because to its can-do spirit and never-say-die mentality. The two New York fraternity brothers began with a little shop kiosk in the World Trade Centre, measuring only 16 square feet.

Jonathan Drew relocated to Esteli, Nicaragua in late 1998, hoping to begin a new chapter in the cigar industry. With a handful of rollers and an even smaller handful of money, the narrative of "That Crazy Gringo" began.
