A unique and sophisticated Cuban cigar, the Cuaba Tradicionales is well-known for its Perfecto shape, which is tapered at both ends. This vitola, like all of the Cuaba brand's cigars, is made to resemble a late 19th-century cigar.
The flavour and draw change dynamically as the ring gauge spreads and then narrows due to its tapered shape.
The Draw: The draw is typically firm during the first five to ten minutes because of the double-figurado shape. The draw widens up properly as the burn line crosses the 'bulb's' widest point.
First Third (The Tip): The draw begins extremely tight because you are lighting a little spot. There will be strong cedar wood notes and a noticeable herbal grassiness. White pepper is present right from the start in a strong way.
Second Third (The Bulb): The flavour becomes considerably more nuanced as the cigar swells up to its fullest point. Toasted peanuts, moist dirt, and a little sweetness evocative of caramel or honey are the dominant notes.
Final Third (The Finish): As the ring gauge narrows once more, the intensity increases. With hints of leather, strong baking spices, and a thickly roasted finish, the profile becomes deeper. It is a strong and enduring conclusion.
