One of the great historical figures who freed portions of South America from Spanish rule in the 19th century was Simon Bolívar. The fact that a Havana named after such a famous person is mixed to equal his strength is not surprising. Bolívar is one of the fullest-bodied and strongest Havanas. One of the most sought-after brands among seasoned cigar smokers, it has an unparalleled depth of taste in its blend of Vuelta Abajo filler and binder tobaccos.
Located at the Partagas Factory in the centre of Havana, the Bolívar brand was founded in 1902. Bolivar Cuban cigars come in all sizes and are "tripa larga, totalmente a mano," or long filler, entirely handcrafted. It is the preferred brand among cigar lovers.
Excellent draw and combustion characterise this stick, which is the strongest of the Bolivar cigars.
Although Bolivar Belicosos Finos is the strongest of the Bolivar cigars, it has a smooth, rich, and fragrant profile with the modest spiciness you would expect from a full-bodied, powerful cigar, unlike the slightly rougher-tasting Sancho Belicosos.
"...The fairly heavy ring gauge provides an abundance of smoke while the tapered head concentrates it before it reaches the palate, resulting in an elementally earthy smoke, heavy in minerals, raw cocoa and coffee bean..."
