One of the most well-known machine-made cigars in the world, the King Edward Imperial is renowned for being a moderate, dependable, and reasonably priced "everyman" smoking. These cigars have been a mainstay since the early 20th century and are named after King Edward VII, who famously lifted Queen Victoria's ban on smoking in court.
First Third
The entryway is really gentle and easy to get to. You'll detect a mild, papery tobacco flavour and a subtle natural sweetness. Almost no "bite" or spice is present on the palate.
The second third
Soft herb and dry hay notes round out the main character. The smoke is pleasant but thin. The flavour maintains mild without experiencing a noticeable increase in strength, and the draw is quite easy due to the binder's consistency.
The Last Third
The flavour gets a little warmer and "toasty" toward the end, but it seldom ever gets the thick oils or bitterness of a long-filler cigar. Until you put it down, it keeps its light, crisp finish.
