Cuban Criollo and Corojo seeds are used to grow Nicaraguan tobacco (puro), which is used to make the robusto-sized Curivari Buenaventura Picadores 50 cigar. First third: Smooth and sweet opening in the first third. The Jalapa Habano wrapper emits a rich scent as soon as it is lit. Smooth tobacco sweetness predominates in the first puffs.

Core Palette: The mouth is coated with dominant aromas of sweet coffee and creamy milk chocolate. It has a characteristic Cuban profile and tastes sweeter than other Nicaraguan cigars. Core Palette: A richer, deeper dark chocolate flavour develops from the creamy milk chocolate. A stronger espresso flavour replaces the coffee note. Accents: The profile becomes noticeably more savoury. The predominant tones are earthy and woody. A traditional cinnamon baking spice will also start to appear around the edges. Retrohale: The warmth of the white pepper in your nostrils becomes slightly more acute. It balances out the richness of the dark chocolate by adding a necessary depth of complexity without being overpowering or harsh.

Final third: Dark Roast & Bold Intensity is the final third. The last third of the Picadores line performs somewhat differently from a premium long-filler stick because it is an inexpensive, mixed-filler (picadura) cigar. The tastes become stronger and more direct as the heat increases. Accents: The sweetness totally vanishes in the final two inches. Usually, there is a hint of bitterness or gritty, volcanic earthiness. Reviewers point out that this part can get very sharp if smoked too rapidly.  Retrohale: At this point, the spice reaches its climax and leaves the palate with a warm, lasting sensation. It ends with a dry, zesty complexity and a real medium-to-full body.
