A single, extraordinarily warm harvest year produced Taylor's 2003 Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port, a rich, full-bodied premium red. Taylor's LBV was stored in oak casks for four to six years before to bottling, in contrast to a traditional "Vintage Port" that ages mostly in the bottle and needs to be decanted. It can mellow, settle, and be ready to drink right away upon release without the need for decanting thanks to its prolonged oak ageing.
Decanting is not necessary. To avoid substantial sediment formation, the wine is filtered before bottling.
Serving Temperature: Serve slightly chilled, preferably between 16°C and 18°C (60°F and 64°F).
