A classic, flavourless pipe tobacco, Samuel Gawith Cabbie's Mixture is categorised as a Virginia/Perique (VaPer) combination. It has a distinctive production technique that gives it a sweet, earthy, and spicy profile.

Notes of Virginia: The chosen Virginias offer a mild, natural sweetness along with meadow, green hay, and occasionally an oaty or wheaty flavour.

Remarkable dark fruit tones, including raisin, plum, prune, and black cherry, are added by the Perique. It also adds a faint hint of spice and pepper.

Changing flavour: As the bowl gets closer to the end, the flavours caramelise, giving it a richer, more delicate sweetness with notes of cocoa and nutty flavour.
