The tobacco is a Kentucky/Virginia blend, which gives the smoke a woodsy flavour. However, the nicotine dosage is modest, in contrast to many potent Kentucky blends. After being cased, crushed, and chopped into flakes, the tobacco is rubbed. Some people report tasting floral notes in addition to the sweet, slightly citrussy case notes. Given the moderately floral characteristics of the wood used to dry the leaf, the floral portion most likely originates from the Kentucky tobacco itself. It isn't the main flavour by any means. Some people choose to smoke St. Bruno entirely because it is cool, clean burning, and doesn't leave your pipe mess.
