Bijou (French for "jewel") is part of Cornell & Diehl's highly praised "Cellar Series," and it was specifically built with long-term ageing in mind. While it includes a slight casing, it is clearly a natural, tobacco-forward mix and not a gooey, contemporary aromatic.

Virginia: Hay, black fruit, and citrus notes are found in vintage red Virginias along with sweet brilliant leaf. To bring out the dark sweetness and eliminate any harshness, the Virginias are steamed.

Turkish (Katerini): This small-leafed Oriental enhances the depth and richness of the blend with its flowery, fragrant, and somewhat spicy qualities. A curry-like spiciness from the Katerini has been mentioned by some reviewers.

Overall flavour: Katerini and honey contribute a woodsy, spicy, and sweet flavour that is both complex and recognisable. Over the course of the bowl, the flavour profile changes, and by halfway through, the honey becomes less apparent.
