A delicious blend of Virginia, Perique, and Burley, Gawith Hoggarth's Louisiana Flake also includes vanilla, cocoa, and subtle floral notes. This subtle nutty chocolate flavour complements the light Perique content, which by itself offers fruity and subtly spicy notes, and blends wonderfully with the base tobacco. Overall, the tobacco is well-balanced.

The long, medium-cut flakes have a yellow speckling all over them and range in colour from golden brown to darker bistre. They flow and coil. The scent of the packet is Lakeland, with notes of Virginia honey and hot chocolate. It burns evenly, coolly, and for a long time; it's as much fun to load your pipe with as it is to enjoy. A combination that comes highly recommended.
