The premium boutique Kristoff Corojo Limitada Tubed cigar is well-known for its intricate flavour profile and classic Cuban structure. It is especially made to highlight the many qualities of Nicaraguan tobacco.
Aesthetics: The cigar has a rustic look with a closed (shaggy) foot that traps oils for a stronger initial scent and a pigtail cap.
Method: Using the centuries-old "entubar" bunching technique, hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic. This method maintains ideal airflow for a steady draw while producing a cigar that is more tightly packed.
Fermentation: To guarantee a smooth but flavourful strength, each cigar is made with premium tobaccos that have undergone double and triple fermentation.
The first third Usually, the encounter begins with a blend of nutmeg, toasted almonds, and cedar. You could notice hints of tea or cocoa along with a faint sweetness akin to caramel. Often described as a light black or white pepper, the first heat is moderate.
Second Third As intensities rise, the body firmly transitions into medium-full. Leather, espresso, and darker wood notes like mesquite or hickory become more prevalent. A "earthy funkiness" and savoury undertones take the place of the initial sweetness.
Last Third The cigar periodically delivers a powerful "kick" as it reaches its maximum potency. Anticipate a strong resurgence of bitter cocoa, cinnamon, and peppercorn spice. The last notes are frequently complex, combining strong coffee with star anise to create a lengthy, spicy-sweet finish.
