Part of Bossner's "Monarch" series, the Alexander I Maduro is a short, medium-to-full-bodied cigar with a rich, complex flavour profile. Bossner is a German company that produces its cigars in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic.
The Bossner Alexander I Maduro is renowned for skilfully blending different aspects of flavour during its brief smoking period.
The first third
The first stage presents the cigar's fundamental qualities, beginning with a vibrant, somewhat pointed profile.
The predominant notes are earthy, woodsy, and spicy.
Secondary Notes: The spice is counterbalanced with early sweetness and delicate floral overtones.
The second third
The flavours deepen and harmonise as the cigar moves into the middle third, becoming creamier and smoother.
Dominant flavours: Rich flavours of chocolate and cocoa replace the first spiciness.
Secondary Notes: A creamy mouthfeel emerges, frequently with toasted or roasted overtones, while the earthy and woody core persists.
Last Third
The sweetness and richness culminate in the latter third when the tastes reach their maximum intensity.
Dominant aromas: The earthy, dark chocolate, and rich espresso aromas are still there, but they get stronger and more concentrated.
Secondary Notes: At this point, the spice intensifies once again. The finish typically has a white or black pepper note, which can be enhanced on the retrohale. The increasing intensity is counterbalanced by the sweetness that persists.
