"An appealing cigar with a tapered, belicoso head and a crimson wrapper. With hints of coffee bean and maple, it's a delicious smoke of earth, leather, and cedar. The burn is consistent, however the pull is a little firm.
Like Behike for Cohiba in 2010, Línea 1935 for Montecristo in 2017, and Línea de Oro for Romeo y Julieta in 2020, Línea Maestra is a high-end addition to the Partagas line. After the Partagas Línea Maduro was introduced in 2018, this is the second addition.
Origen, Rito, and Maestro are the three new sizes that comprise the Linea Maestra. Because Partagas 109 cigars rolled with the same finish were once found in commemorative branded humidors, they are all unique in the Habanos portfolio and have been constructed with a Cabeza Tumbada, or "dropped head." This style is frequently referred to as a "109." The Ramon Allones Hunters & Frankau Anniversario 225, a limited edition released in 2015 to commemorate the company's 225th anniversary, was the last to feature this classic finishing technique.
The new Línea's tobacco is sourced entirely from the San Luis region of Pinar del Río, Cuba, for the first time in the brand's and Habanos, S.A. portfolio's history. As a result, they are categorised as full-bodied like the rest of the range and have a particular aromatic complexity without sacrificing the brand's distinctive character and mix.
