Launched in 2021 as a larger-gauge substitute for its thinner classics, the Por Larrañaga Galanes is a contemporary addition to the oldest handcrafted Cuban brand currently in production. This light-to-medium-bodied Cuban puro is praised for its delicate flavour and honeyed sweetness.

First Third: begins with Por's signature Larrañaga woodiness and creaminess. Toast sprinkled with honey, cereal, and a natural caramel sweetness are among the first notes.

Second Third: The sweetness intensifies into a velvety vanilla cream. A lively, well-balanced middle is provided by notes of fresh grass and hay, while flavours of coffee and toasted nuts (cashew/hazelnut) emerge.

Last Third: As cedar gives way to oak, the intensity marginally increases. The lingering flavours of graham crackers and honey-roasted peanuts are accompanied by a hint of spice.
