Diehl & Cornell Sunday Picnic is one of the "Simply Elegant" series' mild-to-medium flake tobaccos. It is an unflavoured mix that offers a sophisticated and well-balanced smoke by combining bright and golden Virginia tobaccos with Izmir Turkish and a hint of Louisiana Perique.

Notes of Virginia: The golden Virginia tobaccos offer a naturally sweet base with hints of freshly cut grass and hay. A richer sweetness may develop in some aged versions.

Turkish spice: The tangy, woodsy, and herbal spiciness of the Izmir Turkish leaf adds complexity without being overpowering.

Contribution of perique: Perique adds a delicately fruity and spicy note when used sparingly.

Overall complexity: As the bowl goes on, the combination progressively gets spicier after beginning with sweeter overtones. Although distinct, the various notes are in harmony.
