The French company Hennessy, which has been in business since 1765, produces the cognac known as Hennessy V.S. "Very Special" is what the "V.S" stands for, and this cognac is exactly that. It is created by combining more than 40 different eaux-de-vie, which are then matured in French oak barrels for a minimum of two years. This produces a full-bodied, velvety cognac with dried fruit, vanilla, and spice undertones. You can enjoy Hennessy V.S. neat or on the rocks.

In actuality, Maurice Hennessy developed the Cognac grading system in 1865. The classic Cognac is Hennessy V.S. (very special).
