The transparent Atlantico bottle has a very attractive form. The bottle is fairly tall, has a square bottom, and tapers at the shoulder to reveal a natural cork stopper and wood. Another great element is the elevated glass "A" with twin anchors. With its aged paper and gold foil border, the label is understated yet sophisticated.
The colour of the glass is deep copper with hints of gold and mahogany. The result of a swirl is a tiny ring and an endless series of leglets that descend. I detect almost little astringency here as I catch a whiff over the glass. First comes the scent of hard candy, banana and grape, then butterscotch and toffee. To check if the candy dish imagery
Like a surge of caramelised sugar, the rum envelops the taste. Almost minimal spice and little to no heat are present. This has the previously stated butterscotch flavours with a touch of maple syrup and toasted oak. It's certainly not complicated, sweetness. Toffee, caramel, with a touch of pineapple. It has a long, very sweet aftertaste.
